How PV Management processes personal data — on the website, in the enquiry form, and in the app.

1. Who is responsible
Controller for the processing of personal data:
PV Management
Churwalden, Switzerland
Email: Anfrage@pv-management.ch
This policy covers pv-management.ch and the app at login.pv-management.ch.
2. Legal bases
We follow the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU GDPR applies, we rely on a contract, steps before a contract, legitimate interests, or your consent.
Without the details we need, we cannot answer an enquiry or run the app.
3. Website
Visiting the public site creates the usual technical data the host needs for operation and security: IP address, time, the address you opened, browser and device.
The public site has no tracking: no ad pixels, no analytics tools, no marketing cookies.
Strictly necessary session data may appear when you send the form. That is for abuse protection, not advertising.
4. Enquiry form
If you write to us, we process what you enter so we can reply and see whether PV Management fits your plant:
- Name, email, optional phone
- Postcode and town, role (for example private, company, property manager)
- Plant details: manufacturer, number of plants, approximate size, storage yes or no
- Charge-point details: manufacturer and number
- What matters to you, what is mandatory, free-text message
- Your consent to be contacted
The message goes to Anfrage@pv-management.ch. To limit abuse we keep the IP address briefly (at most one hour for rate limiting) and include it in the internal enquiry email.
Do not put passwords or manufacturer-account credentials in the form.
5. App
App users have an account. We process what the service needs: name, login, contact details, assigned plants and rights, plus the energy readings and device states the app must show and control.
The app talks to the manufacturers and services you connect — for example inverters, storage, charge points or vehicles. Only what is needed to run the service is exchanged. Those manufacturers remain responsible for their own clouds.
Sign-in needs strictly necessary cookies or similar storage. Without them the app cannot stay signed in.
We do not sell personal data.
6. Recipients
Access is limited to people who handle the enquiry or operate the app.
Other recipients, only where needed:
- Hosting and mail providers for the website, the app and enquiries
- Device and vehicle manufacturers, if you connect their services
- Authorities, if the law requires us to disclose data
Where data leaves Switzerland — for example to a manufacturer — we rely on an adequate level of protection, a contract, or a statutory exception.
7. Retention
- Enquiries: for as long as the correspondence and any offer require; then deletion or archiving where the law says we must keep records.
- Abuse protection (IP): at most one hour in the rate limiter; in the enquiry email until that mail is deleted.
- App accounts and operating data: while you use the service and afterwards as long as contract, warranty or law require.
- Server logs: as short as operation and security need.
8. Your rights
You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and a copy of your data, as far as the law allows. You may withdraw consent at any time — withdrawal applies going forward.
Write to Anfrage@pv-management.ch. We may ask for proof of identity.
You may lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC): edoeb.admin.ch.
9. Security
We protect data with usual technical and organisational measures (HTTPS, access only for authorised people, data minimisation). A residual risk on the internet remains.
10. Children
The website and the app are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when the service or the law changes. The version on this page, with the date above, is the one that applies.
